Bucking Rainbow –  Our favorite fly fishing shop located at 730 Lincoln Ave., only a block away from the Yampa River.   The Bucking Rainbow is Steamboat’s only Orvis endorsed outfitter.  They specialize in fishing private water and their leases include over 40 miles of river and numerous stillwater opportunities.   If you like to fly fish or always wanted to learn, they can provide a fishing trip you will always remember.

Steamboat Flyfisher – Located at 35, 5th Street on the Yampa River.   Also specializing in public and private water in and around town.  The shop overlooks the Yampa River and provides customers with a great opportunity to try out rods and practice skills.

Staightline Sports- Located at 744 Lincoln Ave. All of their guides are dedicated anglers who search year round for the trophy trout that inhabit the Yampa and Elk rivers.

Steamboat Lake Outfitters –  Located on Steamboat Lake, 26 miles north-west of downtown.    You can stay at their lodge and fish Steamboat Lake and Pearl Lake; or saddle up for one of their famous pack trip expeditions into the Zirkel wilderness for some high country fly fishing!
