The South Valley is the section of the Yampa River after it has come through Lake Catamount and before it reaches downtown Steamboat.  Known for its open river banks and fantastic fishing, the South Valley is best fished in the early morning or late evening.  This section of river is home to the More Ranch, known for their unique tailwaters that can be fished 300+ days each year.  The Video above begins with a short segment that is just before the More Ranch and concludes with a few short clips of the river that are closer to Downtown Steamboat.  If you have any questions or would like more information about fly fishing in the Yampa Valley feel free to contact me at Jon@TheSteamboatGroup.com.
